The G-Profile POI is a multi-environmental, maintenance-free RGB LED moving head with an IP66-rating and a bright color output. Its framing system allows the G-Profile POI to perform beam-shaping images and projections via four individually controllable blades with module rotation. It is capable of an even field beam projection with sharp imaging and no color aberrations. The integrated dehumidifier ensures perfect inner cleanness of the luminaire and no accumulation of dust or externally induced impact on internal optics, gobos, or the light source unit.
The G-Profile POI with full ‘moving head’ functionalities is designed and manufactured in Denmark and blends in with any contemporary or historical architecture. It features FX wheel, 4-facet rotating prism, ultra-high-speed strobe, linear frost, and smooth iris. Base and heat sinks are made from extruded or pressure cast marine grade aluminum, Oxsilan ® pre-treated, and powder coated to corrosion class C5-M marine grade. The yoke and fan covers are made of durable materials, including impact and UV resistant P6.
This tough and reliable LED luminaire includes a powerful 750W RGB LED engine capable of deep saturates and smooth color transitions. It delivers a staggering lumen output, not only in white, but also in color. It is able to achieve 4663 lumens in red, 3571 lumens in green and 1446 lumens in blue. Because of its impressive blue and red output, the G-Profile POI is able to generate color palettes with warm pale hues and bright cold tones, but also outstanding magentas and cyans, making the G-Profile POI perfect to enhance specific architectural large-scale details or create animated effects even if layered on top of a generous general wash of light. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.
The G-Profile POI is one of the brightest and most accurate luminaires ever made in terms of color output. It was designed to match all the colors present in the SGM range, but also to make a great impact with a calibrated white available in all color temperatures from 2000K – 10000K. When it comes to solid colors, the G-Profile POI outperforms any discharge lamp with CMY color mixing, no matter the wattage.
With the advanced and adjustable framing shutters, the G-Profile POI is able to perform beam-shaping images and projections. Each of the four individually controllable blades is adjustable +/- 30º, while the module is rotatable through +/- 45º rotation.
The G-Profile POI still provides the option of combining framing techniques with five rotating gobos plus open for gobo animation and interaction when framing is used. This is a perfect appliance for theatres and architectural installations. The gobo projection is very sharp and detailed, with no hotspots in the centre of the beam. The G-Profile POI uses glass gobos not affected by the heat, so the pattern is always fully focused.
With a 8° to 43°º zoom range, plus an additional pseudo zoom down to 1º, the G-Profile POI can illuminate any building. Being water, dirt, and sand proof, the internal optics are always clean to get the maximum brightness from the light source. Worst case scenario, the front lens must merely be wiped off, which is a huge time and cost saver, effectively eliminating the need for cleaning and maintenance.
The durable IP66-rating of the G-Profile POI luminaire ensures that the fixture is kept free of externally induced particles and liquids on internal electronics, optics, and light sources, including acidic air pollution, making it ideally suited for near- and offshore areas with high salinity. The internal built-in dehumidifier protects this fixture from moisture, pollution, and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification, not only removes humidity, but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a Gore-Tex ® membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminum alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion while the fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal performance at any time and under any conditions (such as variable temperatures, limited airflows, confined installation spaces, etc.).

The G-Spot Turbo POI can be mounted in any direction. Additionally, M-10 bolts are included, which ensures the fixture can be tightly screwed to a surface, protecting it from both vandalism and theft. The M-10 bolts are suitable for any kind of custom-made bracket and are included with all POI fixtures. POI Omega brackets are available as accessories. Handles can be found in the base as well to help users mount the fixture. Being fully RDM compatible, the G-Wash POI is ideal for installation in non-accessible locations.
Included SGM technologies
This thermal management techonology provides Advaced Temperature Control monitored via sensors and software, keeping optimal LED junction temperatures, and ensuring maximum reliability for long-term use. SGM’s predictive color mixing algorithm compesates the decay levels of color-based LEDs for superior color rendering. Finally, the ThermalDriveTM system includes cutting-edge heat removal via passive thermal tecniques and active forced-air cooling (depending on the product), specifically designed to maintain LED efficiency while extending fixture’s lifetime.
SGM uses Full Range Calibration in all LED fixtures over CIE space and black body curve, measured via spectrometer and SGM Illumination Lab software. The consistency of each product and its lifetime expectancy is monitored throught inbuilt sensors to compensate color shifting and to allow color temperature re-calibration. To provide the best user experience, SGM’s Color Match procedure ensures accurate wavelength reproduction within the product range via colored LEDs, dichroic filters, or CMY mixing (depending on the product); all of them specified to match the SGM color palette.
SGM’s integrated patented Dehumidification process eliminates humidity and breaks down corrosive H2SO4 molecules deriving from polluted air to avoid destructive corrosion. Inbuilt dehumidifiers constantly remove trapped hydrogen from inside of the lighting fixture in a solid estate electrolytic process with no moving parts. The DryTechTM procedure is also based on a Ingress Protection rating of 65 or 66 (depending on the fixture), intended as a full protection against dust and other particles, while ensuring protection against direct water jets.
