As a result of continued growth in business, we have invested in expanding and re-organising our workshop facility. Enhancements include a new dedicated cutting room, additional bench space and a new testing area.
The main activities that take place in the workshop include the production of custom light fittings, the assembly of lighting control panels and boxes, and testing of equipment for projects.
To enable the build of linear fittings to flow smoothly, the workshop has been designed by our engineers to maximise workflow efficiency.
A new cutting and drilling room has been created, meaning that the profiles and lenses for linear fittings can be cut to custom lengths in a separate area.
Once the profiles have been cut, they are transferred to one of the new workbenches where an engineer will install the LED tape, add power cabling, and fit any lenses specified. The resulting fixture is then transferred to the testing area, where 100% of all fixtures are tested before being packed for despatch.
The expanded workshop has enabled us to increase our production capacity, and recent projects include several hundred fittings for an office block and more than a thousand fittings for an exclusive apartment development in London.
