A 20-year partnership

This year, our supplier partner Pharos is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Architainment is proud to have been part of their journey, right from the very beginning.

Way back in 2004, Architainment was still getting established and was primarily focused on marketing and distributing Color Kinetics products in the UK. For one project, we needed a more flexible lighting control solution and our Managing Director, Nic Tolkien, knew of a start-up company that might have just the solution we needed. That company was Pharos, which at the time was also just a small team starting its journey to where it is today.

Since then, we have continued to work together. Today, Architainment distributes a wide range of solutions from top LED lighting manufacturers, including Pharos lighting control solutions. Pharos has grown as well, building its reputation for providing high-quality, reliable and award-winning LED lighting control solutions that are used in projects all around the world.

Looking back

As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Pharos is looking back at key events and talking to key influencers that it has worked with over the last 20 years. We are honoured that they chose to kick off this celebration by talking to Nic about how the architectural lighting market was impacted by the introduction of colour changing LED luminaires, and how this created a demand for DMX-based systems that could manage colour changes and more complex entertainment-influenced scenes. Looking forward

We look forward to working with Pharos on many more projects in the years to come. Many of our ArchiPower enclosures already include Pharos controllers and as this part of the business continues to grow, we are keen to see where the next 20 years will take us.
