The three towers at Kennedy Gardens are three identical tower blocks located close to Billingham town centre. Originally built in the 1960’s, the blocks have maintained much of their architectural character with some carefully considered enhancements including the infill of the under croft and replacement of the concrete roof top drying area to provide new accommodation providing an interesting silhouette. It is the feature lighting on the roof that has helped Kennedy Gardens with its new lease of life. Architainment supplied Philips Color Kinetics ColorGraze MX; these fixtures were specified due to their ability for high-intensity, multi-story façade and surface illumination. The new interactive lights at the top of each of the buildings can be programmed into a range of sequence, they were switched on at a launch event that was watched by residents and other invited guests and lit the town up in time for Christmas.
