Our busy Technical Services team get involved in a variety of projects, and one of the projects this month has been to configure and pre commission a solution for a large installation in London that will use sPDS-480 units and iColor Flex LMX from Philips Color Kinetics.
Phil Grice, Technical Sales Engineer comments, “ the solution that we have been preparing consists of three Philips sPDS-480 units and a Pharos LPC X lighting controller.
About the sPDS-480
The sPDS-480 power/data units are designed for large-scale Ethernet LED lighting solutions, and the Pharos LPC X enables mapping and control of up to 20 universes of DMX. With its extensive inbuilt and customizable capabilities, the Pharos LPC X is the perfect control solution for complex dynamic lighting schemes.”
The sPDS-480 and LPC X units have been configured in a rack and fully tested before going to site, so that the installation company can simply site the rack, connect the iColor Flex strands, and commission the system into operation with maximum ease. This pre configuration and testing service saves the client a lot of expensive on site time, and allows for a much simpler and professional installation process.
iColor Flex LMX is a flexible strand of large, high-intensity, full-color LED nodes designed for extraordinary effects and expansive installations without the constraints of fixture size, shape, or space. Each standard length iColor Flex LMX strand consists of 50 individually addressable LED nodes, featuring dynamic integration of power, communication, and control. The flexible form factor accommodates two- and three-dimensional configurations, while high light output affords superior long distance viewing for architectural accent and perimeter lighting, large-scale signage, and building-covering video displays.
