If you were at our inaugural London lighting event on June 9th – thanks for coming along, and if you missed it –you missed a great evening!
Held underneath a railway arch at the atmospheric Motel Studios in Hoxton, lighting designers from far and wide joined us for an evening of drinking Pimms (and a lot of beer!), eating delicious canapés and seeing some of the latest innovations and products from Philips Lighting.
More than 30 new and existing products from Philips Color Kinetics were live and on display, allowing lighting designers to see each product working, and how they could be used for various applications.
New products and technology on show included ColorBlast Powercore gen4 and ColorBurst Powercore gen2 – both with with Chromasync for improved colour consistency. ColorBlast gen4 now has three housing color choices (black, gray, and white)—plus the option to add or combine a louver, rock guard, full glare shield, and half glare shield. ColorBurst gen2 has four housing color choices (black, gray, white, and bronze)—plus the option to add a louver, full glare shield, and half glare shield.
Also on show were the new PureGlow luminaires, which combine tunable white and dynamic color light in one innovative, high-performance luminaire that’s easy to install and control.
For cost-conscious buyers whose clients are looking for quality and reliability at the right price, there was an opportunity to see some of the Vaya product range. Vaya products provide economical options for interior and exterior LED luminaires . Offering white, mono color, and RGB color lighting options, Vaya luminaires are appropriate for cove, flood, wall washing, and other applications that require, cost-effective, reliable LED lighting.
For those interested in lighting control, part of the venue was dedicated to Philips Dynalite solutions, with the opportunity to talk to our Key Account Manager for Controls – Chris Campbell.
Philips StyliD Perfect Beam and Luminous Textiles were also on show. StyliD PerfectBeam has been developed specifically for museum applications. It strikes the perfect balance between presenting art and preserving it. The often conflicting demands for good visibility and conservation are now being met with LED lighting that emits no harmful UV or IR radiation. StyliD PerfectBeam presents works of art in their true colors, subtly attracting the viewer’s eye, making it easy to see, interpret and appreciate masterpieces down to the smallest detail. Its modular design, variable beam, beam shaping accessories and onboard dimming ensure maximum flexibility to cope with changing exhibitions and lighting needs.
Luminous textiles combine multi-colored LEDs seamlessly within beautiful textile panels that also soften sound. They provide endless ways to play with color, movement, texture and light, and allow you to bring spaces alive.
Guests who signed up to our newsletter on the evening were entered into a prize draw to win a Philips Hue Starter Kit, and the lucky winner was Graham Rollins of Lighting Design International. Congratulations Graham, and we hope that you enjoy creating all those combinations of light!
